Cash Money!

God provides in the most crazy ways sometimes. I was hanging out at the bikes or bust event that Freedom Church put on in Acworth, GA and noticed one of my tires looked a bit low. I reached down to check it and my hand pushed the tire half way in. At which point I looked at Jason next to me and said "Crap, that shouldn't happen." I ran across the street to Kauffman tire and had to get all four tires replaced. (We haven't bought new tires for this car in almost 4 years) Tires are ridiculously expensive and being that I'm in an internship right now and starting to help plant a church money is not something we have a lot of. However, the day before a friend of mine wanted to pour into our lives and gave me a check for twice what the cost of the tires was. God knew that we would need the money long before I knew about it and provided in the right time.
God is so awesome to not only provide for our needs but give us more than we need as well. I can't wait to see what God has in store for us as we seek to follow Him in obedience.

Next Great Musician

My little girl loves to play music (really its just a bunch of loud clanging) and listen to music all the time. I don't know if she's gonna be playing, singing or dancing to music in the future but if she's anything like she is right now she may do all three. I'm trying to figure out my new camera to show you some of her dancing moves from Christmas.

I hope you all had an awesome Christmas!

Christmas w/ the parentals!

We spent the night at my parents house and are celebrating Christmas here this morning.  This is Kinsey's second Christmas and she still doesn't really understand it yet but she is loving her Santa gifts.  She got a baby stroller and a little engine thing she can ride around on that makes a ton of noise.... thanks mom & dad!  We're fixing breakfast right now and will then open the rest of the gifts and I can't wait to see what I got and give my parents there presents.
Hope ya'll have a Merry Christmas and I'm sure I'll post more after I open my gifts today and tomorrow at the in-laws.

* Kinsey just called my name and blew me a big kiss......That Rocks!!!!

Looking forward

I'm looking forward to so many things that are coming up I thought I would put them down. (this is not in any particular order)
  • Christmas
  • A week off for Christmas
  • Our new baby girl Keegan being born
  • Moving to the county where our new church will be
  • Watching Duke play twice this week
  • Going to see J.R & Todd freeze on the lift this week (Bikes or Bust)
  • Being off for a week (Yeah it's worth mentioning twice)
  • Working with and for Mark (He's going to rock as a pastor)
  • Playing golf while off of work (Lord willing it will warm up enough)
  • Spending lots of time with my family for the holidays
  • Beginning a new year that has so many questions that God has to radically show up for everything to work out
  • Did I mention being off for a week!

Visiting

Mark, Heather, Amber and I are all going to check out Mountain Lake Church this morning. I'm excited to go over there and see their service and how they rock out on Sundays.

After church Mark and I are taking the wifey's to see where we may plant the church. I'm pumped about what God has called us to do and that He is showing us the direction each step of the way. Maybe we'll announce where the church will be soon, but till then just keep guessing.

Hooked Up!

Heather hooked up my blog page and it looks awesome! Thank you Heather for making my boring page look so good!

Coffee Shops

I'm a horrible blogger I know but at least this time it hasn't been a year since I last blogged.

Beginning this journey in church planting has put me in a lot of coffee shops lately.  I'm not a coffee drinker and don't drink very many hot drinks, so I resort to my favorite caramel apple cider.  Wowzer, is it good!

I'm in "Its a Grind" coffee shop this morning in Canton and there has been a guy across the room leading a bible study and I think he wants to teach everyone in here.  He is talking so loud that I can barely hear Mark talk right next to me.  That really annoys me, I'm all for having Bible studies or meetings with other people but be respectful of those around you.

My favorite thing about these shops is that you never know what type of people you may see; even loud bible man.
