Amber and I have been praying about what God would have us do when we finish our time here at Woodstock. Well, God has given us both a clear direction about where to go and we are excited (and scared to be honest) to say we are partnering with Mark and Heather Ayers in planting a new church. Mark asked me to partner with him a little while back, even though he didn't know the where, when or how financially. It was such a great offer how could I refuse, right?
I was looking for how God would open a door for us to run or help lead a sports ministry and had now desire to plant a church. But God had other plans for us and we look forward to supporting and helping them hold their hands up in the air as leaders of this new church.
I am honored to work along side of Mark and be under his leadership. He has been a good friend for about eight years now and we have always talked about how we would like to work together. I know God is going to greatly use him in leading this church and seeing many lives radically changed.
I'll try and keep you posted on the progress of the church as it happens. I have been challenged by others that I have to write on my blog more. We'll see.
